Through our co-op program, students can get hands-on experience in the work environment and culture of an innovative company while taking a temporary break from ongoing university courses. These opportunities enable students to participate in meaningful and developmental work assignments while pursuing an A.S., B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. degree.
To allow for a smooth transition, we offer the following benefits:
Travel reimbursement and housing allowance
If the student lives beyond a 50-mile radius of our work location, he or she may be reimbursed for travel expenses and qualify for a furnished apartment, utilities included.
Tuition reimbursement
Co-op students are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement for one core class per term of work based on company tuition guidelines.
Career development resources
Networking, online training, mentoring and more are available to help students continue growing in their chosen field. Click here to learn more.
Educational leave of absence
We grant co-op students an educational leave of absence from the time they return to school until they rejoin Rockwell Collins. This allows them to continue earning service time with the company while attending school.
Savings plan – 401(k)
Co-ops are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan. The company will match 75 percent of employee contributions up to 8 percent of pay.
Medical, dental and vision insurance
Rockwell Collins provides company-paid coverage for medical, dental and vision plans for all co-ops to cover basic and preventive care services.
Holiday
pay
Co-op students are eligible for holiday pay for holidays that occur while they’re actively working for us.
Vacation pay
Co-ops also accrue vacation time based on the amount of hours worked per month.
